Sometimes I need a filter between my brain and my mouth.
This is not the way to get one.

The Husband Survey

What is his name? The Man. a.k.a Trav.

How long have you been married? Ummmm, 2 years 7 months 3 days exactly.

How long did you date? We dated for 7 years before we got married. I took it as a good sign that he didn't get a 7 year itch type ailment and call off the wedding...

How old is he? 26...going on 50. He claims to have found grey hairs.

Who eats more? Sadly, I do. Yeah, super embarrassing and totally un-sexy...especially when the larger plate gets put down in front of him when we go out for dinner, and then we have to swap plates...I get funny looks from wait staff and that's when I decide we can never go back.

Who said I love you first? I think he did...or maybe it was me...I can't really remember...

Who is taller? He is, by about 2 fingers. We're both average height people.

Who sings better? Me, because I at least sing with the Toddler - The Man doesn't sing.

Who is smarter? Oh good grief, he is! If I was the smartest person in the relationship...god help us all...

Whose temper is worse? I think we have an equal footing on this one...and the combination of the 2 is a terrible thing to behold - but thankfully, while the Toddler's temper is a thing of legend, it's ferocity also means it burns out quickly - but sadly, this isn't the case for The Man and I. We're both painfully stubborn...

Who does the laundry? We share the loading of the washing machine...but my OCD comes out when I find myself going to the washing line and re-pegging everything that he has hung out for me because it's not 'right'. He's learnt not to bother getting angry over it - just accept it and move on.

Who does the dishes? Moi. I think he's done the dishes twice since we moved in...and as a result I am prepared to sell an internal organ to get a dishwasher again.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me. It's my side. But I'll throw him in front of any intruders.

Who pays the bills? He does - I get all worked up over money so he takes care of it.

Who mows the lawn? Outside = him. Inside = me. Except when I don't want to.

Who cooks dinner? Me - until he remembers my skill level - then he does.

Who drives when you are together? The Man. Although I regret that as soon as we enter any car park. Visit this post for more information on the ferarful experience that car parks are when he's driving. I believe 'jock-staining extravaganza' is the description used.

Who is more stubborn? See information on our tempers.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Again, see information on our tempers. But truth be told - we don't go to bed angry. Well, not very often.

Whose parents do you see the most? Both equally I'd say...they both live in the same state as we do, and live approx. the same time away so it's just a matter of what we're doing.

Who has more friends? Most of our friends are shared - but The Man is more social than I am. I become an introvert with people I don't know...and they take it to mean I'm a snob and then it all goes nowhere.

Who has more siblings? The Man. I am an only child. He is the youngest of 4, with 2 older sisters and 1 older brother.

Was it love at first sight? Not too sure - I liked the look of his bum in his airforce uniform. Does that count? I've no idea if he fancied me right away - he was lusting after my friend when I first met him, but I'm guessing I blew her out of the water because I am now his wife. Although, she's now a lesbian. Who knew!?
